Radio Christmas

A community Christmas station from Buckinghamshire that goes live every December with volunteer presenters, raising money for street children in Central America. Before 1 December the same stream plays non-stop Christmas music.

Radio Christmas began in 2008, broadcasting from a shed in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, and returns every year on 1 December. Most seasons run for 24 days of live shows, and it has become one of the town's biggest volunteer events.

It is a project of the charity Street Kids Direct and has raised thousands of pounds for its work with street children in Central America, including broadcasts from studios in Guatemala and Honduras. It streams online and in free iOS and Android apps.

Radio Christmas is on from Tuesday 1 December.

Live shows from 1 December each year; the stream plays non-stop Christmas music before that.
