Broadcasting Experimental Frequencies

We are a Low Power FM (LPFM) non-commercial DIY radio station broadcasting on KHUH 104.9 FM and online from a public space in Seattle's Central District. We are also an all-ages music and performance venue. Our focus is on audio not often heard on the traditional radio dial, including: found sound, field recordings, forgotten music, local musicians, bedroom recordings, lo-fi demos, dreams, storytelling, conversations from within marginalized communities and things that feel real. We acknowledge and celebrate raw talent and imperfections, and encourage emerging artists to take a chance with us. We support local and NW music and other underground music from around the world.

Standing Wave Radio--1620-AM and streaming on wavefarm.org/listen--is a dedicated channel featuring Transmission Arts and Experimental Sound programming around the clock. Standing Wave Radio programming is also often broadcast on Wave Farm's WGXC 90.7-FM in New York's Upper Hudson Valley.

Radius is an experimental radio broadcast platform established in 2010 that produces, exhibits, and distributes work by radio and transmission artists from around the world. Radius provides artists with live and experimental formats in radio programming and features new episodes by artists who use radio as a primary element in their work. The goal is to support work that engages the tonal and public spaces of the electromagnetic spectrum.
