SomaFM Jolly Ol' Soul

Soul, R&B and funk Christmas records from the 50s to the 70s: James Brown, the Temptations and a hundred deep cuts. Ad-free, from listener-supported SomaFM.

Jolly Ol' Soul is one of SomaFM's seasonal holiday channels, added to the line-up in 2015. SomaFM itself has broadcast from San Francisco since 2000, when Rusty Hodge turned a Burning Man pop-up station into a full-time internet radio station.

The channel sticks to classic soul holiday records, from well-known names such as the Impressions to the B-sides and regional singles that rarely make the usual Christmas playlists.

Like every SomaFM channel it has no adverts and is paid for by listener donations. Besides listening here, you can use SomaFM's own apps for iPhone, iPad and Android.
