About RMF Kolędy
Traditional Polish carols (kolędy) and Christmas songs from RMF in Kraków: a beautiful listen, and a taste of home for Poles abroad.
Kolędy are Polish Christmas carols, a tradition going back to the Middle Ages: most tell the story of the Nativity. Alongside them sit pastorałki, more folk-flavoured songs about shepherds and village life at Christmas.
RMF Kolędy is an online channel from RMF, the Kraków broadcaster behind RMF FM, carried on its RMF ON internet radio service. It mixes traditional carols with Christian, folk and modern Polish Christmas songs.
The singing is in Polish, but the melodies are easy to love even if you don't understand a word.
