Totally Wired Radio (or TWR) is an independent, specialist internet station founded in April 2019 by the seminal east London record label Acid Jazz. The radio takes its name from the Totally Wired series of compilations, compiled by label boss Eddie Piller and his original partner, the fellow DJ Gilles Peterson. The compilation series became a byword for creative eclecticism which perfectly reflects the eclectic music championed by TWR. TWR’s talented roster of professional broadcasters play progressive, left-field and specialist music that had been ignored by the mainstream stations. We are on air 24 hours a day, 7 hours a week and are listened to in 92% of countries in the world with an average base of approximately 15,000 listeners – an extraordinary achievement for a new digital station with no marketing budget.
